1st time driver policy's

Ok I am on the lookout for insurance for my daughter who is 19 and passed her test 4 months ago, shes bought one of them little funky citreon c1's as her first car, whos best to insure her with, as some quotes have been longer than my telephone number and the compaire websites are crap for new drivers

Be very careful with a black box jobbie, mate of mines son has just been refused renewal by insurer after 12 months with one in his car, been in the car with him and he's steady-ish for an 18yr old lad. He is absolutely stuffed now because he has to answer yes when asked if he has ever been refused insurance!

When I 1st started driving I used Insurethebox, was over £1000 cheaper than any other insurance company, yes there's a box in the car, but that didn't bother me, never hindered me, you get a monthly report showing you how your driving is, and if you drive smoothly etc you get bonus mileage added on. I was constantly given red for speeding but still 50+ bonus miles per month, and always given much better quotes the following year, only thing is they don't allow modifications

Hi,
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Regards,
Dan.

I gave flux a ring for my 1989 metro gta (my first car) and they wanted 5 grand. I said to the bloke down the phone ''fuck me. I think I'll give that a miss'' and he said ''Yeah not a bad idea'' lol

Ended up with Autosaint black box. 1 Piece of advice. Never ever on pain of death or a miserable end every go with the group of cunts that call it and excuse of an insurance company.
First of all they charged me £2200 with a black box (Ok fair enough)
Then proceeded to break my car fitting the blackbox (Fucked my glovebox. Rare as hens teeth being old BL parts in that faded sandglow colour)
Then I've been disputing with them that they are responsible for the damage as they were the people I took the contract out with, but they kept trying to get their external assessor from the company that fitted the box out to see if I was lying about a broken glovebox. (Seriously, I have better things to do)
I've had the financial ombudsman on them about it and after 6 months I've decided to cut cords with them and rather than try and deal with the biggest bunch of shiesters on the planet I'd rather spread word of their shocking customer service.
They also charged me £600 for a change of address to a nicer area.
Absolute scum. So no matter if they are cheapest, do NOT go with Autosaint Black box insurance. I actually can't wait for my policy to end and for me to get the 1 years NCB (touch wood lmao)

I'd try admiral or add onto a multi car policy that allows no claims. If I chose to be on my mums car insurance as a seperate policy earning no claims. It would have cost me £2800 with churchill without a black box. And I'd pay extra for no black box any day of the week now I know how horrible it is to be spyed on.

Cheaper insurance for the young uns?

Here`s a thing - outside Macs (of burger fame) there are these cars for sale, like, brand new, and 0% interest and they give it free ins for (I think its two years - ) which would give the young uns a two year start and the third year - it should be easy peasey Japanesey. I forgot the dealership/make but I`ll have a look - they are small boy racer types, the cars that is. They may well be Fords. Also, if they are not then Ford maybe trying to keep up with this . . . promotion and offering customers a similar deal, maybe?

No tax for a year or forever as there are no emissions taxable and a small amount to pay per month - might get one myself - except I would look odd at 61, like I`d just nicked it off my grand kids.

Make sure you are named as an additional driver and not the main driver as this may reduce the premiums...it certainly did for my friends son.
