Classic insurance and NCB.

Am I right in thinking you cant use your NCB with a classic insurance policy ? At the moment I have classic insurance on a Mini cooper and my normal insurance with full NCB on a Nissan Navara. I have sold the Mini and am looking at buying a XR2, XR3, RS Turbo as my daily driver. My problem is I need to keep my Navara until I have got a new classic and am happy its reliable before I sell it . Does this mean once I sell my Navara I would loose my NCB or can you still insure a classic on normal insurance and keep your NCB . Hope this makes sense .

Normally you need a "normal, everyday car" in addition to your "Classic". Classic is usually limited in annual mileage to - Designed to stop daily use.

Cheers, John

Hi,
Generally classic car policies don't use or accrue any NCB however most of our schemes would allow you to keep you NCB "up to date" so you wouldn't lose it.

Dan.

Right thanks for the replys. Am i right in thinking if i buy say an XR2 this week and insure it through you and sell my Navara next month. That i would then be able to transfer my NCB frm my present insurance to my policy with you ??

Hi,
As long as the classic policy we put you with allows us to jeep you NCB up to date then yes you can transfer it on to the policy to be keep up to date.
Regards,
Dan.
