Is it just me or have other Sapphire, 3 door or Escort Cosworth owners noticed a big increase in the cost of comprehensive insurance this year?
I have been with Adrian Flux for the past 16 years claim free and this year they want £869 for my cover. This seems a lot to me, what are other owners paying and who are they using? I am a mature diver and declare the many modifications I have done to the car and also have an agreed value policy.
Your feedback will be appreciated.

Ive got my renewal through and its just over 400 quid for me and the mrs fully comp. Thats with 3k limit mileage though.

Hi Glenn, that sounds more like it, can you pm me the details of your insurance company please. I also have a 3k limit on miles so that is no bother.

I am just doing mine and have had quotes from flux of £305,need 2 insure of £385 and boncaster of £600+ which they have bought down to £345 now.All agreed value 35k for me(i am 46) and mrs fully comp on stage 3 RS500 in Dorset 4500miles a year.I have been with flux the last few year but this year they helped themselves to the premium from my card without me knowing so will give them a miss.

I did get a quote from Aviva who insures my daily of £130 for the 500 on a multicar policy but no agreed value
