Default Dan at Adrian Flux Insurance

Hi everyone.

This is just a short introduction, I'm Dan and I've worked for Adrian Flux Insurance for 24 years.

If any of you on here have any general insurance queries or specific problems with Adrian Flux insurance please let me know. I have handpicked a small but dedicated team of staff who with me will try and assist you wherever possible. I can assure you we will be completely impartial despite being on the payroll of Adrian Flux. If we have messed-up we will acknowledge that and make efforts to get it corrected. If any of you do not understand an insurer’s viewpoint we will do our best to clearly explain it.

It could be problems ranging from simple paperwork issues to major claim disputes. With our many years of experience we should be able to answer most queries immediately. If there were issues or a problem that we can’t answer directly we would ensure that a relevant manager investigates these and we would then be able to relay an answer back.

I hope this will be of some help for you.

On behalf of myself and my team, thanks very much.

Dan.

i certainly did get quoted happy. terry sorted me out a deal and i got a further £47 off the best quote for being on passionford.

£603 to insure 2x st170s with all the track mods on the track car is a good deal in my book.

big thanks terry

I was mortified at a price quoted for a 1 litre H reg micra I wanted to run about in, all our cars in household are insured with A/F I have 8-9 years ncb on my daily, I think 5 years on my highly modded escort zt cabrio. I was quoted £40 less than I pay for the escort on a bog standard micra, granted I didn't have any ncb to use on the micra but jesus £438 for a micra.

Hi,
Unfortunately the one area we sometimes struggle with is on your day to day standard car. This is something we are working on to try and improve. If you wanted to PM me your details I'd be happy to take another look at it though to see if there is anything more I can do.
Regards,
Dan.

Couple of questions you may be able to help with.

I've just changed cars on my policy, new car belonged to my dad, not sent log book off yet, looks like the tax will be refunded if we do, I said when swapping car the car would be registered to me, will it matter if I send the V5 off in may so the tax is not refunded?

Are poly bushes classed as a modification, as I will be changing the suspension arm bushes in the future and poly will last a lot longer?

I've just insured one of my three cars with Adrian flux solely because they came out as the cheapest on confused.com. while doing the online thing I clicked on the wrong date for the start of the policy I wanted the inception date to be the 17th Jan but clicked the lower week the 24th Jan
"MY FAULT I HOLD MY HANDS UP"
So today bearing in mind I only did the online thing Saturday night I phoned Adrian flux telling them I'd made a mistake and asking if they could bring the inception date forward a week. I was then told that they needed to ask me a few questions before the policy could be approved. After 15 minutes on the phone being grilled about a claim at my old address back in Febuary 2012 I explained that the claim was not by me but my daughter on her own insurance so I hadn't lied on my proposal as I think she were indicating. At this point I was told to hang on while she check things out so I ask them to phone me back. some time later I get a call back saying that everything's ok and they will cover me for the price quoted but to bring the inception date forward I will incur a charge of £50.00 at this point I'm not happy as the policy hadn't even been accepted 30 minutes ago. so I tell them not to bother and I'll go elsewhere. that's fine but you will also incur a £50.00 charge for cancelation of the policy. I've already paid them so I'm in a no win situation here. At this point I let then know that I have three cars and was seriously considering moving my xr3i insurance over to them from peter james as they are quoting it a little cheaper but following the way things have gone over the last 30 minutes I wont be doing so. At this point she offers to move the inception date forward for £30.00 but me being me I refuse to budge. why should I pay them any money at all for what amounts to very little work on their behalf when this could have been done while setting up the policy that had not been done 30 minutes earlier and at the start of the call I made to change the date being told that the policy hadn't been approved yet.
Anyway the outcome is that I now have a policy with Adrian flux that starts a week after I need it to so I'm going to be without my new car for a week. with this in mine I will never use again or recommend Adrian flux to anyone.
any feedback from Adrian flux welcome.

Following dan's post I phoned flux and things are now sorted thanks. It's a pity that you have to voice your opinions / disappointment with a company on the Internet to get things sorted when they could have been sorted with a simple phone call. But at least things are now all good for me at least.

Fair play to you Dan. Flux get some stick on here but you are always offering to step in and try and help.

I was with Flux back at the end of the '70's when you insured my 3.0 V6 Pop, V6 Cortina and then 351 '69 Mustang. Wonder what you would quote a 21 year-old on those today?

Hi Harry,

Thanks for the message and this sounds like our sort of area - we like modified cars.

We do ideally need to speak to you though - could you provide me with a contact telephone number and a convenient time when we can call you?
Alternatively, we are open until 9PM so you could give us a call on 0800 916 1288.
Thanks,
Dan
