Default Anyone got an idea on cost?

Ive got a mk4 xr3i and im 17 in january so on the countdown to driving just wondering if anyone would have an idea what it is likely to cost to insure? Read in the classic ford mag that there is classic insurance for 17 year olds only if they have another everyday car and its pre 1985 of course mine has to be 86 Any help appreciated

You'll probably be looking at 4 figures, put your details into a price comparison site and that will give you an idea. Just set the dates so you will be 17 when the policy starts.

Do you get spam emails from them or anything? Only reason I haven't is don't want loads of letters or emails coming through

I doubt you'll even get a quote, I'm 20 and anything XR/RS is at least 2k plus even for me.

Just set up another email account if that bothers you, it only takes a few minutes to do and you will have the answers you want rather than random guesses.

Or you can just send any spam email into your spam filter straight away never have an issue again.

If you do use a comparison site though and managed to get a decent quote make sure you call them direct as well since 90% of the time it'll be cheaper still over the phone

I know saw a thing where pre 85 cars can be insured for 17 year olds but mines 86
Also priced up a 1.3 3 door bonus and that was 100Ł more expensive and a 1.1 mk2 fiesta was 5k

Been doing a bit of looking aroud online and strangely the cheapest car to ensure that i found is a mk1 1.8 tdci 3 door focus. 2600Ł and thats cheaper than 1.25 fiestas and 1.4/6 diesel fiestas? Im struggling to understand the way this works
