1.25 Zetec Group 13, WTF?

Why is a Fiesta mark 5 1.25 Zetec the same group as a 2 litre ST?
Rip off or is there a genuine reason for it?

Insurance group go up to 50 now,so would be classed as 5 if they still went to 20.

I suppose coming up from from a Micra 1 litre I should have expected a 50% increase in premiums even though I have never made a claim and have only 1 SP30 on my license.

Also cars are done on crash and theft statistics so sometimes popular car for young lads etc get premiums put on!!! Can see why its the same class as an st mind lol

I consider myself a young lad, but at 65 years old that is stretching it a bit. Maybe better get a specific quote from a specialist (SAGA haha) insurance company to see what I can do to reduce the cost.
