Hi guys,

OK Brom borrowed my Tom Tom to go and see one of his whores and he lost the foookin memory card, so its basically now fooooked.

So what kind of memory card does Brom need to buy me? Is it an SD memory card? If so what size do I need?

Then where do I get the software from to put on the SD card so that everything works again?

yes its an SD card, just looked

The UK map takes up around 100mb, so a 256mb should suffice

although I dont know what order etc it needs to be in

u can try my sd card if you're about sometime, as Ive got tomtom on my pda and it might be the same sort of file order etc

I was hopingI could just get an SD card and then get the software from somewhere and simply put it on my new card. I think I need someone like Ish for this kind of thing?????

speak to TomTom mate, (theres a contact link on their website) just tell 'em you've lost the card - their customer service is pretty good

TomTom charge 99 Euro's for the GB map on a SD memory card.

I do have the GB (as well as europe) maps for the PDA version of TomTom and you are welcome to a 'backup' to try out if needed but I have a feeling it won't work and Brom is going to have to shell out for the one from TomTom lol http://www.tomtom.com/products/acces...t=1&Language=1

that link is just for a 256mb sd card

so you need to copy your GB maps onto this, then add the POI's he is giving you in the sale.

so basically just a bigger SD card.

I'm using tomtom on my spv c550 phone now anyway so got rid of my PDA

i thought it was 128mb with the tomtom300. as the file size for just the gb maps is only 110mb

do a search on google, official tomtom sd cards with pre loaded maps are about £80 odd

with difficulty i dont think they work on the c550 yet. they work on the c500. you need to do a bit of programming and change the screen size in the tomtom program. you need tomtom mobile 5 and a bluetooth gps reciever. there about £140ish

it does work on the C550 with the QVGA patch from TomTom

you install TomTom onto the C550 and then all you need is a bluetooth GPS receiver. I'll give you a demo next time I see you and explain more
