I do like the way everyone lumps all Americans in as supporters of the death penalty.
If I'm not mistaken, not all the states have the death penalty, and it is always under review and debate.
You only have to look at the fiercely divided opinion on "right to life"/abortion issues across the pond to see how split public opinion can be, and how passionate about moral issues people can be if they chose to.
No need to slate our American cousins for living in a flawed country - last time I looked, we were living in one as well.

you dont understand what the prision system is about then mate, sorry
now dont get me wrong personally being affect WILL cloud my judgement but if the person did change his ways and is there a better member of society than i could ever be and also changes 3 other people to follow the correct path then thats surely better than just killing em and then killing the next man and so on
he changed and helped people, ok hes also a icon but hes a good role model to belive in that no matter how hardor bad you are the way to get by in life is to be good and look after others,
he was killed as a stand, nothing else, most people giving it the large are just too scared to actually try and deal with people like that and feel that the way to solve it is to terminate em
hes a bi-product of us upbringing, he shoudl have used the rest of his live to change the youngsters and as such clear society as what your impresionable person wants to listen to a rich white guy from the suburbs about be good and you will go far in life
he worked harder than anyone in prison to change his life aswell as others too and hes still gonna be rememberd for his large mistakes he made and not the thousends hes saved and as a result the streets are safer, you let him out and you would never know his mistakes
hope you never visit any big night clubs as lots of there owners are nasty people who never got caught, would make ya wanna puke when ya hear what the adams and the rileys have done to folk
people do change, he did, he also HELPED and he still died, just cause of fear he could change again

the judicial system is meant to re-educate and correct, not punish!
the death penalty is an extremely crude and dated method of dealing with society. it doesnt work. death penalty crimes are far more rife in the us states with this penalty than in places like the uk where we operate our "lenient" approach.
this bloke may very well have played a part in the ending of 4 lives but how many lives do you think the books he wrote will have saved by influencing them not to go the same route that he did?
whilst it is fundamentally wrong and both morally and ethically breaks the law you should consider that the majority of the gangland killings are of each other. im not condoning this by any means but it has to be said that this must cross the the polices minds - leave them to it, they self regulate themselves.
i have a rather cynical view i know but thats my opinion
as for whether he should have been executed or not, lets leave that to the likes of an ex body building actor now pretending to be a politician

You would have to live here to understand anything about us. We might be the United States of America, but we are so divided on so many things it would spin your head. 50 states all with just about different laws on driving alone LOL. Not ALL Americans are the same.

What's wrong with punishing those who do wrong?
Sod this rehabilitation. Bring back slopping out and make prison miserable enough that no one lucky enough to get out will ever want to go back. Some of them have a better life inside, with 3 meals a day and a bed, compared to anything they will work for on the outside.

mate stop watching the bill you fool
understand the POINT of prison, its not to make people avoid it but teach them where there wrong
thats EXACTLY what happend in his case, he also went the extra mile too, coming out you would never know what hes done inless you was told
wheres the problem in that, if the death was part of a gang death not a inocent person then whats the issue, he lived a life you could never understand in your semi detached house with a drive and 2 cars world
some people are not helped but ignored, he was, he addapted just like a self made millionare but he chose the easy way
hell what about moral crimes big companys do, rip off the poor people to get as much cash for them but doing it "legal"
either way he was now more use alive than dead, hes helped others and a PERFECY example that crime DOES NOT PAY and what should in reality happen
now hes gonna be he killer who was killed when in reality hes proof the prison system works and americas have lost the plot allowing anyone to get in power
puff daddy for president next i think , atleast hes got a brain

Ginge how the fuck has it proves the prison system works? He killed 4 people, doesnt matter if they were gang members, he killed them END OF! Whatever shite hes been doing with his life in the last 20 odd years waiting for the injection CANNOT REPAY the cost of taking one life let alone 4
Companies ripping people off isnt 1% of a comparison to a murder...

lee the prison system is to make you aware you done wrong, we all are just animals at the end of the day, just we now have rules on what we can do
as for companies ripping people off, how would you feel if all you worked for was taken away by a company whos scammed you to save them ?
dont get me wrong, killing is bad, but then he now knows that and has spent the rest of his life teaching others
whats more use for society ??????
kill the murders, there will just be more, he actually reached out to people and changed there views, thats removing murders in a posative way
i know what i would rather have if there was a choice of loads of people killing and then others taking place or a former murderer who reduced the others based on his personal experience and actually tool, the time to sort it in a posative way
but then i do live in a rough area so maybe thats why i feel that way and you may not even see the 5 foot yellow signs each week
harlsden needs a person like him as nothing else seems to be working

Sorry Bal, but i cannot even begin to compare being ripped off to a murder no matter what context it is put.
The death penalty is still in force in states in America, he knew it when he killed someone, so he deserves it.
I know if i get caught speeding ill get fined, and points....so i wouldnt expect not to get the points and the fine....
If someone killed your little'un would you want them rehablitated or killed?

Up with the death penalty, why the hell should tax payers pay to keep the scum of the earth housed in better conditions than most living on the streets, what a load of shit.
Should have been reintroduced years ago in this country then maybe the likes of Sarah Payne would still be alive.
Are you so misinformed that the likes of kiddy fiddlers will suddenly be reformed just because they spent time inside?

Honestly, can you tell me you actually KNOW someone who's life has changed? When did you first know about him? How or Why are you able to compare what Police do in everday life (while yes some ARE arseholes) Most of them put their lives in danger (I would probably think more here then there since there's plenty of Illegal guns about). This is NOT a dig at all, I'm just trying to understand your comment and from what knowledge and experience you have that is directly related to him and you. Thanks for you honest answer.
