I got stopped today for driving down a road following other traffic that was apprently only open at certain times, he came to the drivers door and i said sorry i only speak English (i can understand some Germen but certainly not speak it) he replied in English then when i replied he said i must speak in Germen if i fucking could i would you moron, thankfully i was in the work van rather then the Evo i dont want them knowing it's mine,

Was real rude and aggressive i was very close to telling him to fuck of, thankfully i did not have my Dam busters theme on the stereo

So what you're saying is you went to a foreign country, disobeyed their traffic laws, get stopped quite properly and then get the hump when YOU cant speak German.

Imagine how our Police would deal with the same situation if the driver could only speak Arabic....

You do know that Germans are quite an abrupt nation, its nothing personal so when they speak it can seem rude but its not meant to be.

When I went to Germany earlier this year I found everybody brilliant and really keen to show me their country. Went to a bar and didn't buy one drink. If I could speak German how some of the guys were speaking to me in English I would be well chuffed.

Read it again Rich i was following traffic granted i stopped to let 30 odd pedestrians across the road on each side with him behind, and at a green/red ped crossing it was on green so i duly stopped then the women had crossed so i waited (was still on green) and he was beaping me the prick,

They are great people and fantastic drivers on the Autobahn just the coppers are a pain

German police scare me they don't ever seem to have any expression in their faces!

But German people in general I've always found to be very helpful (except for a select few dcotors/nurses in one hospital )
