Kev .. Sorry mate .. Bollocks ..
We have built it to be quite a bit quicker .. smoother and quieter ..
It has extra cylinders and a much torquier motor. We all know about loadsa torque!
(And you might even be able to get the spares after a couple of years)
That's why Prodrive/Tickford aren't involved ... Thank God ... (as they were in the last "effort")

they should have called it the rs, no matter how good it is, alot of people wont be that bothered, because its just another st....sounds silly but i bet if it looked a bit harder and had an rs badge on the back they sell more and could charge more.....

I actually went to buy a Golf R32 or a Civic Type R when Kim saw a Focus RS sat in the corner.
I just dont like the "big a$$" on the new Focus. And lets face it....if you want a mass produced car with loads of parts get the ST. I bought the Focus RS and so far have only ever passed 1 other on the road! Just look at my last car, i like to be a bit of an individual.

Must admit I'm not keen on the looks of the new Focus. I much prefer the looks of the original.
The five cylinder Volvo motor has to be ripe for some most excellent tweeking though
Who will be first to get then new ST to 400bhp then?

where do you live, theres a few focus rs's about
its not quite a collectors car as such yet, its more of a fun car thats vaue for money and well way too expensive spares making it a bad servicing cost car, meaning more and more will be neglected

The new focus ST won't hold any value....it will be a typical ford

20k motors,,,,,,,,,, erm you aint looked about at what they are actualy fetching have ya
there 15k, but that on finance then they aint that much in all honesty but when people do get em some are out of there league and so have to skimp on parts, a brand new set of disks are over 200 quid each i belive when i looked em up ( actually i could be mistaken but i know that they was gonna cost me over 100 quid each trade , hence why i stopped looking )
then theres the warantie issues,,,,,,,,,, the fact that ford dont really inderstand em and so they dont really get well serviced by there mechanics
then we talk about the lead time for some of the parts that have to be on a special order
there a simmiler thing to the racing puma but that was a real genuine rare car,,,,,,,,, shame it was soooo slow

well if it sells like the street KA it will be classed as a rare car as they aint making them anymore due to the lack of sales
can get m brand new for 11k now
but then as im biased and can get the ST for roughly 30% less than retail if i went for it i dont think i will lose cash
been toying with the idea of a brand new fiesta ST for 9200
but i have to pay more for leather and the stripes

i think its a good attempt from ford its alot better then the usual crap they are making these days, but because its badges an ST and not an RS it will never have the same respect, so the question is when will the next RS come out, i suppose they badges this the ST as its only FWD

Reckon it will look smart myself.
For the record they've put 2 small red spots in the overhead light and they shine down onto the gear lever at night, giving a red glow around the shift.
Either going to be smart or I'll pull the bulbs out.

10 seconds a lap round Nürburgring do u really believe that considering how good the FRS is on track cough bollocks cough same old Ford cant do shit right my 10 pound is very safe
all the faff over the FRS and they cut so many corners and didnt really get that right yet now they suddenly managed to build the best thing since slice bread and did it cheaper but put a badge no one cares about on it

Not quite right FlyingFocRS
The Focus RS was always called Racing Focus in-house. Should have kept it that way. Cos the car was never a RS as we all know them.
There won't be another anyways.
The new ST will be a lot better all-rounder than the old Racing Focus .. and as I said, the parts support and prices will be a lot improved.
Our favourite cars in Ford are Fiesta ST and Mustang at the moment.

cheap dig Focus Racing I think its worthy of the badge feck its a modern day Escort RS Turbo and a damn good one at that
Just ST badge is worth nothing might aswell be an XR badge
Im glad they wont build an RS because I dont think Ford have the staff or the ability to make a good rival to the Evo and scoobs etc If it werent for the RS badge I wouldnt piss on Ford crap service shit warrenty not exactly the best finished cars need i go on

I think Ford have pretty much abused the RS marque as much as they can now, releasing a car which many don't consider to be what they would define an RS and then releasing a faster version of its replacement under what was considered a less-worthy marque.

MWF Dont be a pillock again ... You made similar statements in an old thread about RS cars. (It all went quiet when I asked who ACTUALLY worked for Ford)
'kin hell! .. A new generation Corsa basic van is as fast as the old SR's
It's called progress .. What do you expect? Focus RS is an old car .. we sent out the specs around 1997-8!
