erm,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, take it to a tuner, amal valves pulse to control boost, not just make the boost bigger
so stick a amal valve in and sack the tuner who removed it

You dont need a amal valve.... if you fit a boost controller between compressor housing and actuactor, you can control it without amal valve
or air injectors,,,,,,,, but thats not the question, he has no boost control OTHER than the actuator
thats a bad idea
matt you are right about the amal valve working to reduce when set up , but people seem to think there jetted JUST to increase boost, when there to control the max boost and keep it constant as poss ( no 32psi just for the hell of it one tuesday afternoon due to a problem with no boost control
id rather have a bleed valve

HI,
ID, stick with the amal valve, as its also a safety valve if the air charge temp
gets to high which could cause problems, the ecu closes the valve, and retards the
ignition timing, so you only see actuator pressure, a -31 with a amal valve with
the correct jets fitted inside, on 3,bar setup ie 803's(green injectors) boost
figure with the correct turbo and intercooler approx 23/25 psi peak,

on a standard map up or regular "stage 3" set up they are set to increase boost, the jets simply determine the amount of air the bleed can vent
not relevant here but i have no jets at all oh and also a bleed valve

forgot to mention your car as never moved for a while too
do mines on the water temp sender wiring but i relocated it to the lighting loom to make it tidy
my stage 3 chip as NO boost limit but the ecu does use it for ignition retard
