My mate john tebenham ran his yb cossie powered probe at the euro
finals at pod today at 7.7@ 170,no gas!

wow thats easy gotta be the fastest 1/4 yb in the country. is that the motor what performance ford says is the worlds most mega yb. if julians built it. itll be high comp, big turbo and t6 probably. what is the transmission? mega time.

Its a full cro-moly 25.1c chassis that is spec'd to run as fast as 6.30sec 1/4mile. the car was build at my place of work in 1997/98 and has ran 7.4 using a BDT-E engine, the rolling car was sold in 1999 to current owner and replaced by :
this car was also build by us and is the same chassis spec as the Probe.

The gearbox is an air shifted 5 speed liberty,basically a manual box with
a twin plate clutch,macleod I think.
You only need the clutch off the line ,and then never lift again till
the end of the run!
It has a "trick titanium " can(bell housing) and runs a 9" ford axle with a
spool(no differential or slipper) on 15"x15" slicks
