215 40 17 are too wide for a S2 lowered am i right

on a serie2 the max you should have is 205/4017 no wider as rubbing will occour,and also providing that you have a decent suspension set up too thats reasonably mid to hard this will reduce rubbing also!

Stu, mine are 205/40/17's - I'd say you really dont want to go lower than 25 - 30mm max otherwise your going to run in to problems and need to perform some mods.
Mine catches on full lock, just and the rear arches *used* to, but not anymore
