I'm all for it.
Something needs to be done. Should have a nationwide protest and it must be supported by the general public.
The government must lower it's fuel taxes.
We currently pay about 210% fuel duty tax and then a further 17.5% VAT on the total price.
It is making an absolute killing on fuel tax.
The more that oil prices go up, the more tax they make.

I hope this time the public are gonna support the farmers and truckers who are not only fighting for there own livelyhoods but also yours.
Also did you know that any hauliers blocking refineries risk losing there operators licences and going out of business if arrested So how about some of you that are complaining about the price of fuel take a day of work and join the protests afterall it is in YOUR interest as well

At the end of the day though how can you avoid buying it?....you either buy it now....and just use it during the protest....therefore paying the higher prices now....or not at all resulting in being stuck without a car etc...
Some of us live in Wales where public transport is just a pipe dream

Maybe public transport is a pipe dream in wales because the bus compnies cant justify
sending a bus out to the rural villages due to the fact fuel costs so much

What are we protesting against though? We pay only a tiny bit more in fuel tax than the likes of France and Germany and Labour have cut fuel tax by 10% while in power. The barrel price is going up because we have to import almost all our oil (America has its own oil fields and strategic petroleum reserve) so who are we threatening? The oil companies who has massive demand for oil all over the world and are laughing all the way to the bank?
On top of this we have the option to run cars on LPG which is readily available at around 30p a litre and large car tax cuts if we drive small capacity economical cars.
I'd love to see a reduction in fuel prices but I can't really see where it can come from. Ok the government might reduce fuel tax again to even up the extra tax earned from the price increase but that isn't getting rid of the problem it's just moving it elsewhere.
