5th Gear only for those that are interested !!
Have been given two dates. 6th & 13th of October. The aero-dynamic bods have told 5th gear that the Lotus should reach 200mph within a 2mile straight so they are hopeful it will, im not so hopeful. Others cars invited are a 1000bhp Skiline imported from Japan, no details have been given, The Corolla is a maybe as yet but i have pushed for it to be there.
The 200mph RX7 was not mentioned ? , but a RUF Porsche is attending.
Its at RAF Woodbridge so im not sure where the 2 mile straight is coming from 1.6miles max i suggest, unless you fancy a bit of auto-cross never a Lotus strong point

No public will be able to attend & may have to keep quiet about the result, imagine running 216 ( new gearing) & cant tell anyone

Rod how will you be able to retire when you keep thinking "maybe if i just change this and make that a bit better etc" think giving up will be your hardest achievment!!! Fingers crossed for the saffy!!

ohh cant wait to see the fuss it would cause when a 13 year old ford taxi does over 210, can you just imagin the letter of complaint saying its a fix from some know it all

Good luck with it Rod, really looking forward to seeing the reaction to the car, as although its well known to the likes of us, im sure the average 5th gear viewer wont be able to get their head round it!

go for it lad and lets see some supercar owners with red faces. anybody know when it will be shown on tv as this is simply unmissable.
just go for it man might be a little impractical though.
800bhp & 200bhp Nitrous have been discussed but it aint going to happen in my motor
