PassionFord organised driving break..... anyone fancy it?
Been away for a few days and made this post when i returned:
https://passionford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=136923
And its got a few of us to thinking we could organise something along the same lines... Anyone fancy it?
I propose Scotland for a few reasons:
1) The scenery is second to none..
2) Due to above.. you can do 5hours at a time EASILY. Trust me
3) Roads are quiet. Once in Central Scotland we had ZERO traffic jams.
4) Most events in UK are down south... lets do north for once.
5) Hundreds and hundreds of miles of......
Lets discuss please..........
Edited to add names of peeps possibly interested so far.....

I would like to add at this point it will not be a RACE in any way shape or Form... its a roadtrip to take in some real roads, real scenery and meet some more real people
Horsepower will NOT be relevant, but fuel economy may well be, so bear it in mind

Stu - some of the guys over on Interford.co.uk have been doing this for the past couple of years. A bunch of em trek up to Scotland to meet up with the some of the scottish members, then take a 5+day drive around Scotland, and camp every night. Something I have wanted to do for a while, but not had the car to do it with... (or the time/money )

Sounds like fun!
A year or so back a few of us looked at hireing this Lighthouse out, getting there alone would make an awsome road trip. Plenty room for lots of people to stay.

Sounds a good idea Stu. Would be up for it. The missus would probab;y be up for going as she's Scottish which would be a change where travelling very far in the cossie is concerned Went to Ireland in the old girl last year and she did nowt but complain

Sounds great, but probably not practical for me for a while, so would depend on when it was.
The scenery looks great, thats one of the things i enjoy about the nurburgring too, the lovely drives around near by.

I'd love to do that. Did something similar a few years ago with the scoobynet lot we went to the lakes and camped there for a few days stoped in blackpool on the way up
