Default Renault Clio V6's........

Just been to see the guy i got the Escos off, and hes bought a brand new clio V6. Never really looked at these before. All i can say is what a tool that is. Didnt go in it, and he says its not mega fast, but it looks a fooking weapon.

Anyone that buys one new needs their head examined. They seem to lose half their value in the first 18 months.

Silver vents define the phase two, much improved over the original and the only one to consider imo. Great cars.

I killed one of those on the track two weeks ago in my Escos. Not very fast on the straights. But it maybe fun car to drive on the track (not on the road - to hard to drive).

I think they look awesome, and just as a toy for Renault to make, can you imagine Ford having the balls to stick a V6 in the back of the Fiesta? Err.. NO!

According to Evo magazine the Phase 1 V6's were crap to drive compared to the Phase 2 versions (I prefer the look of the Phase 1 version though!)

Shes nae a racing driver no but she likes her fast cars.

Means i get a shot of it to of course

no this has nothing to do with a standard Clio mate. The engine is at rear, and there are only 2 seats in this car. Keep in mind that the engine is just behind your seats and that it is VERY noisy. It's more a race car than a everyday car, think about it

I understand that but it's really very very short wheelbase midengine rear-wheel drive. When Phase 1 was tested on race track in Poland they couldn't find rally or race driver who felt confident in it. They all span all the time. Look at reounault racing series, they spin too. Clio 2.0 in that test was only 1 second per lap slower but was very very easy and safe. It's probably the same as with some MR-2 - great cars but for REALLY good driver.

Does it have an aircon? I don't remmeber but I remmeber about some of the creature comforts being shit.. poor heating in winter? Or something like that.

Oh and every part is for this model only so if you have slight contact with armco or something like that it costs LOADS.

Yes, it has air con. But this really can't be considered a girls car, nor an everyday's car. It will be worse living with this as main car than with a 600 bhp Escort Cosworth everyday...
