Default Anyone bought HID conversion kits off ebay?

They are a LOT cheaper than I've seen elsewhere.

Anyone had any experience with them?

High Intensity Discharge.

They are Xenon lights that give a very white light.

Also it is illigal to put HID bulbs in to a Headlamp designed for a halogen bulb i might add!!

there not bad kits, you get the Ballast, ignitor and bulb.

You dont get the projector lense, so basically they dont work as they should.

just a warning.

I.e basically HID are meant to be projector light.

Normal halogen is reflected light.

HID bulbs are focussed bulbs, this is done by the projector lense using a prism.

so basically if you put a HID bulb in a standard reflector, the light will just be fooking everywhere and blind everyone.

I've noticed a few guys have fitted these to their Morretts. Do they do a special outer glass for these then?

also the reason the kits are so cheep on ebay - 9 times out of 10 the bulbs are broken when you get them so you have to buy bulbs aswell - know a few people who been done like this

who knows mate, bascially to use HID's you should use prisms\projcetor lenses.

Thats what they were designed for.

Ive Hid fitted to mine and the cut off point is perfect and they are in a halogen unit. all you have to do is use a casper shield!
