Default Saph front bumper fix?

Just got round to fixing my loose front bumper

It's the triangular holes in the wings that are fooked, so I'll be making up some plates and getting them welded in, but I cant get the bolts out of the bumper mountings

I reckon I'm gonna need new bumper mount brackets, but how do you get the bumper trim out of the bumper to get onto the heads of the rivets?

Are the brackets still available?

Yeah just replaced mine pal, 65 quid for a braket set which includes both sides, they do have a captive nut within the plastic braket so its more than likly doing what you sed.

When the bumper is off you just drill out the rivets and re rivet the new brakets on,my bumper sits much better now its be sorted

Hop this helps

How do I get the black strip out of the bumper then? As 2 of the rivets are behind it...

When i did mine, i just prised the end of the strip out from the bumper, then peelled it back just enough to get to the rivets... Prob best to mask around the strip to avoid scretching the bumper...

Ran,

watch out, cable ties are only good for a while, the sharp edge on the metal triangle cuts them off. I should know, my bumper fell off when I was parking the car, luckily didn't happen on the motorway at speed only a few minutes before

There is a post in restoration/rebuild/projects that I made a while ago re bumper refit, including making plates for the little triangular holes if they are rusted.

Shames searches don't work
