240 odd bhp, and 9K+rpm

Utterly no midrange though if you are used to a cossie.

Seriously well put together cars, but like most things its slow compared to what you could make out of a cossie for the same cash.

Might wanna tell that to the lad I know of with the integra typeR that did a valve a few weeks back, and a DelSol i know of with fucked cams...

Ive seen a few go, they not common, strong as feck, but the "never break" thing is a myth

you've only got to look under the bonnet and see where the engine is placedto know that this car is more than just a styling exercise. and the best gearchange ever imo.

I've just sold my Esc Cos and bought one!

Quality motor, quicker than you think and reliable as you like.

Few stats I've seen, depending on what you read.

0-60 - 5.5 - 6 secs

1/4 mile - low 14's (if you can launch the dam thing!)

Top Speed - 150 +

Previous owner of mine got 161mph on the speedo down Brunters.

Has to be said that the car isnt all about straightline speed, the twisties are it place of choice.

Clarksons comment was about the "vtec system" not the actual engine, these will obviously fail from time to time, but they do seem to have a good track record. You dont see half as many posts about engines going bang on Honda forums as you do on Ford forums, but you could argue Fords are dragging more power out their engines.
