Default Mk6 fiesta 1.4 won't idle

Ey'up guys,
This is for my lads car, he's got a mk6 Fiesta 1.4 duratec, the car turns over fine, but just won't idle at all. I've replaced the crankcase breather pipe, which was burst quite badly and I've taken off the throttle body got that looking like knew, as it was filthy inside, but it still won't tick over at idle, any ideas. He's getting a Fiesta ST150 in October and want this to keep going until his insurance drops in time for getting his ST150.
Much appreciate any help

Check the ISCV is operating correctly.

Sorted it today, replaced a faulty lambda sensor and reset the throttle control, took the car for a drive, it stalled at every junction and while I was parking the car up, but as I parked up the ran for 2-3s on idle then stalled, started her back up again and again idled for 2secs, so I thought 3rd time lucky and it was 👍🏻, idle settled and is now running fine. You have to give throttle control time to adjust and relearn after the reset....... Well chuffed.

mk6 Fiesta won't have an ISCV it's an electronic throttle body.

Thanks, but mamaged to get it sorted, I replaced a faulty lambda sensor, then reset the throttle position sensor with my mates diagnostics tool( something you have to do after replacing crankshaft breather pipe and cleaning the throttle body). It then said I had a P1000 fault, which apparently corrects itself after you drive the car for a while, so I took it for a drive, but it carried on cutting out at every junction or everytime the revs went below 750rpm, so I parked up outside the house and she idled for 2-3 secs before cutting out, so I tried again and again she ran for 2-3secs before cutting out, I thought maybe 3rd time lucky and after revs dropped to aroung 600rpm she recovered and settled at a steady idle of around 750rpm 👍🏻. Apparently you have to give time for the throttle position sensor to relearn itself. Proper chuffed, a little persistence paid off in the end.

Thanks, forgot about that. In that case, I imagine the throttle must be actuated to maintain an idle and if so it suggests a bad input (i..e sensor) could potentially be the issue.

Does it drive ok otherwise?

In the early days of the mk6 they had quite a few issues with the throttle body/pedal/loom/ecu.

Hopefully will have a fault code stored!

I'd try disconnecting the battery to reset the ecu as well.
