just doing my application form for invicta cars and its got 2 questions i always hate...

Why would you want to work for invicta?

so far i got:

I have always been fascinated by cars and motorsports, I have carried out extensive modifications to my own car, and others and it is something i enjoy doing and learning new things.

What could you bring to invicta as an employee?

Why would you want to work for invicta?

I would rephrase that as it makes you sound like a proper Max Power boy!

What could you bring to invicta as an employee?

Dedication, teamworking skills, reliability..

Change "Fascinated" to

"I have always had a great interest and aptitude for...."

What could you bring to invicta as an employee?

My 16 year old sister.

or

Enthusiasm, dedication, willingness to learn etc. etc

Why would you want to work for invicta?

I have always had a great interest and aptitude for cars and motorsports, and I have taught myself a lot about how enigines work, and how things go together to make up a vehicle

Very Good, but make it 2 sentences as I was out of breath reading it

I have always had a great interest and aptitude for cars and motorsports. I have taught myself a lot about how engines work and how thousands of components and scientific principles combine to make a motor car.

I would also put a sentence in explaining why Invicta in particular.... Look at how they like to portray their image on their web site or appliction package and say how u would like to become a part of it!

In the "why do you want to work there?" question you should always include some information about the company to prove you've done some research...I always look for that when I'm interviewing!!

Remember to put some research into invicta and use that information to answer "Why do you want to work here?"

and rememeber the facts you do put in about the company dont just copy it from the website. you dont want them asking you a question that you dont know when you used the answer in your appliction form

I did that at an interview once at a Ford dealer. There had been reports in the paper that the group was about to be bought out... so I asked if it was likely to affect the job I was applying for.

The interviewer went ape-shit!!!! He lept out of his chair and went into a five minute rant about press speculation and the damage it can do to a company's stability etc etc etc.

Funnily enough I didnt get the job, the company was taken over and that dealership didnt last much longer!

I would write something like this:

Why would you want to work for invicta?

From an early age I have held(or had ) an interest in cars and motorsport in general. Given Invictas heritage and motoring history i feel it would be a great opertunity to work for company engineering todays cars and developing exciting products for the future.

What could you bring to invicta as an employee

I am an outgoing and enthusiatic person who is dedicated to the job. I have a high ability to learn and progress my skills whilst working within a team.
