Getting previous owner details from DVLA?

Can you contact the DVLA and get details of the previous owner so I can contact them and if so how do you do it?

No, data protection. Same reason as to why its not on new V5's.

Cant you just get their address off the V5 and then write to them?

data protection is a scam excuse for everything nowadays along with health and safety reasons.....

Back in april i sent £5 off with a v888 to the dvla to get the first registered owner.....that came back with the details.

I got also got the other v5's after that but he details had been blanked out.

Yea, you can fill in a V888...but whether they give you any details or not is another matter. If you were a corrupt scam artist looking to conf money via the car ownership details though...DVLA seem happy to sell the info ! ie parking twats etc.
