Default Does anyone else do this in their garage?

Mate of mine came round the other day and asked me why on earth do I have a piece of string hanging from the rafters in my garage? He thought it was a great idea when I told him, but to be honest I thought a lot of people did it.

Anyway, it's a piece of string with a plastic hose connector on the end, when it taps the windscreen it's time to stop, perfect for parking a car in a garage that has an inch of clearance either end. I certainly remember my dad had one when I was a lad, he used a bit of garden twine with a Kellogg's bicycle reflector attached to the end. Daft the things you remember lol.

Ive got a brick on the floor where the NSF wheel stops, if the brick was to move i'm hitting a set of wheels.

Might see if I can get string in a suitable spot now,

The partner of one of our friends has a tennis ball behind his A6. He's one of these very neat people, perhpas ocd. I dont think its due to tight space, i think he just likes it parked in the exact same spot.

I’ve just finished off my garage build (well nearly) so I’m planning on doing this. Had never seen anything like it but it’s a good idea and saves me bolting something to the floor as a guide as I’d just trip over it when the cars outside
