Default passionmercedes....new wheels fitted....

1500 miles in and what can I say....what a machine ! puts a smile on my face even when just burbling through town at 20....put the foot down at any speed and it burst into life instantly, the noise it produces is more addictive than drugs.... 15mpg is a small price to pay....

whos the big names in tuning these days for mercedes? I want to see what sort of options there are for these....? it was allegedly remapped but even though I have the full service history right back to the original sales receipt I have no proof so will probably take it in somewhere with a rolling road and mapping facility

I do like the look of that quite a lot, Just think the wheels could have been a size bigger to fill the arches or maybe a different style.

I'm still torn between either a merc or a mustang as a replacement for the current car. Both have plus/minus points so we will see.

you also get the 19 inch multi spoke similar to bmw alpine wheels but im wondering if the ride might become a bit harsh....its firm but not overly so with 18's....I will be getting the multispokes though in one of the sizes.

the top looks bigger on the front because the wing angles back more. theyre both similar sized arches.

Yeah way better, the other wheels look very 'business rep style' in comparison, looks a lot tougher now.

Wheels are so much better if a little more tricky to clean.
How’s the ride been affected by them.

cars like this are exceptional pieces of engineering....similar to M3's and RS4's......not heard those horror stories....I have heard similar stories about audi RS cars though at £1000 per injector....not sure if theyre urban myth old wives tales or if they actually happened though.... all the online stuff I read was generally about how bombproof these are....early cars had headbolt issue recalls and facelift apparently prone to overheating if driven hard for a long time....reasonable for service costs and service parts (unless you have the performance pack upgrade ) I was driving mine at 70 on the motorway the other day and the temp was going down below normal running temps because I wasn't driving it hard enough......
