Even with the exchange rate as lopsided as it is at the moment, I don't see $34,900 being anywhere close to £1500

IIRC, that has been on race-cars.com for a while now. But I have no idea about the ebay listing. Seller does have a ZERO feedback rating though.....YIKES

I've never heard of a BDX, but that doesn't mean much. Race-Cars also has a Cosworth type reference that lists all the engine families and it doesn't have a BDX either, but it DOES look like something from the BD family.....so who knows.

It is quite a common scam for people to lift photos from random places around the internet and sell a product they have never owned.

The fact it is a private auction makes it even more dodgy - you can't contact any bidders to warn them that it might be a scam.

I sent a note to the seller on race-cars.com and alerted them to the auction.

Hopefully he will alert ebay to this if it is a fraud.

The scam has been removed from ebay and the actual owner says 'thanks for the heads-up'
