Nice one! Well done. I kind of of had a similar experience when I bought my car. I was quite particular about the spec I wanted and scoured the country with not much success, then one popped up just 10 mins down the road in the next town! And the funny thing was that 2 years previous the car was actually just a few streets away from me, so I'd probably seen it quite a lot. The owner that bought it new lived just round the corner and the next owner who I bought it off lived just a few miles away!
It's funny how things work out sometimes.
Anyway, pics as soon as possible, and enjoy

Was the 10.8 mpg with you thrashing it or just a more leisurely drive? I presume with what it will cost in fuel it's not going to be your daily runner but a fun car for week-ends etc? It sounds like a car that won't be happy going slow!!

wasn't thrashing it but I was giving it some beans..... its not a daily ,its a weekend car ive still got my c320 diesel and my van. its probably cheaper to keep and maintain the c320 than it is to use the c63 as a daily...

I thought that would be your plan as it would cost you a fortune as a daily doing a fair bit of mileage!! Sounds like a beast of a car which will be fun to drive!! My 2wd Saff is only 450bhp but all old school technology and when it,s being driven hard it guzzles the fuel and as a daily would not be practical either.

I remember the stage 3 cossie in my bmw would return single figure mpg when being thrashed. you could see the needle on the gauge slowly moving down as you went.

the hpi checks came back clear and put the value at between 16000 and 17000 so bang on the money. its estimate of 140 a month on fuel is going to be waaaaay of though.

Make sure the quality check recall has been done on the injectors and also check it has had the security update to stop it being able to be started through the OBD port...they tried to nick mine that way when my mate borrowed it and luckily I had it done a few weeks before.

If you can find one with the Birds Quaife diff and softer springs they handle much better.

Very nice Mr Fuzzy, same colour that I had my AMG in. Make sure you keep the drilled holes clean on the brakes as Merc make a big deal about drilling them out or changing them at huge cost....I used to put a small file through after washing but make sure nothing snaps off in there.
