It must he true..... it's in the papers.

In 2022 we will all be getting driven round by the car.

One thing with these self drive cars. How does the insurance work. If the car has a crashed into another vehicle whilst its driving for you. Who is gonna pay out.

It’s on sky news app and the radio lol. Not that I’d ever buy a new car but that definitely makes sure I wouldn’t. Says about it being a gps based thing that limits power at the speed limit.

Going to make 2021 a bumper year for performance car sales.

That’s it this will basically mean high performance manufacturers are selling a product that can’t be used. Big 300-600bhp cars will be totally pointless. Audi bmw merc and the more performance marques will be hit very hard by this

It will be 2024
You can bypass them
A lot of bollocks about nothing
4% of accidents that involve death/serious injury's are down to going faster than the posted limit

Still remember seeing this on the news in about 1994, saying in the "future", cars will be speed limited, and its the future now....They had a demo car drive into a 30mph zone and thats all the car would do flat out.....

wait till pay as you drive comes aswell.. ... you`ve done 50 miles today sir, thats Ł50 , they`ll start the rate off in pennies first to get people used to it..them bingo...have to a millionaire to go the shops and back...

Let’s wait and see what actually happens. Any pre limit car would be worth a fortune unless retro applied...doubt it will be as bad as it seems.

tin foil hat may fool the system

Me and my mates were on about this the other day talking about dbw throttle bodies and emergency assist being able to start stop your car remotely and we were just saying the next stage they will limit speed of cars and there you go lol.
hopefully it's all Eu cars and we will be out of this shit finally once and for all so the Eu can shove it up there arse.

It will go down well with the idiots that love driving at 40 or 50 mph on the 70mph motorways and dual carrigeways as they never even get up to 70mph!!!!

You would think car manufacturers like Porsche would be going mad because other than the odd track day car the hole reason to by a car like that will be non existent

I would think that manufacturers will squash this....let's not forget that it is mandatory that they are fitted...that does not mean that in every instance the car would be restricted...it just means that they have the ability to do so...this could just be getting ready for autonomous motors in X years time so that the back catalogue of cars post 2022 are able to comply.

It happened with trucks and old stuff was first fitted with cables and motorised limiter boxes to limit to 56mph. Everything has it now over 7.5 tons. New stuff is all ecu controlled

Yes, it causes a lot of issues when a truck pulls out to try and overtake another on a long uphill dual carriage way.
