Stunning. Cant believe the price of cossies now.

prices are mad nowadays, wasn't that about a £10 grand car in the early 2000's?

I sold my 500 hp spec 3 door in 2002 ish for £10k !

boost monster 17-03-2019 07:42 AM

Do they actually sell at these prices?

Caddyshack 17-03-2019 08:34 AM

I saw a 205 1.6gti advertised for £43,000. Admittedly it was mint and under 20,000 miles but I am sure nobody would pay even £20k?..surely?

turbotrev 17-03-2019 06:04 PM

Nice but mega overpriced as usual

Cheers Paul

Yes, and I wish I'd bought on around that time when I had £10k sitting around spare :wall: If I'd known they'd have gone like this I'd have snapped one up, stored it, and then sold it to pay off my mortgage :wall:

cossynut2 18-03-2019 08:59 AM

All I hope is that whoever buys it actually uses it and enjoys it and it is not just stored away again!!

No lol but it dont stop people putting up stupid prices lol

bigdel 19-03-2019 09:36 AM

Daft prices tbh. If mine got totalled or nicked I don't think I could ever justify going out and spending £50k to replace it

Glenn_ 19-03-2019 10:04 AM

Yeh it would be hard to spend 50k on another old Sierra when there are far more better performance cars out there.

JasonPD 24-03-2019 09:49 PM

It does look nice though, I was looking at mk1 rs2000s the other day which are around the same price. Sure you can buy something better for the money but if you want a good example of an old car (especially a Ford) then I guess that’s the price you’ve got to pay.

fuzzy 25-03-2019 04:17 PM

youd need to be a serious ford fanboy to spend that sort of money on an old sierra ! id rather have a 16 plate 550bhp E63 or rs6 and still have 15 grand left to buy new tyres...

But 5 years of fun later how much would it be worth?

Steve

cossynut2 26-03-2019 08:26 AM

Steve. The thing is with a low mileage minter like this one, yes you could have 5 years of fun actually using it but it's value would probably drop. These type of cars at that sort of money are most likely going to be bought by a collector/investor who will not be using it and adding miles to it.but just storing it away to be sold later. The real low mileage classic Fords out there these days are virtually museum exhibits now which are unlikely to ever get driven in anger and enjoyed!!!

Glenn_ 26-03-2019 08:59 AM

I think Steve is on about the BMW fuzzy would buy. That wouldn't be worth a shit load of money in 5 years time
