Default Number plate valuation

Can anyone recommend a decent place/company to value a private number plate I own?

I have sold a few and bought a few and all of them are all over the place on values...they just want to list them without buying them and my crap 007 plate has been on for over 2 yrs without so much as an enquiry.

You could gamble it and just ebay and hope or look at some of the auctions but most of the online stuff is just an algorithm and they will chop you off at the knees to buy it.

Regards

Toby

I think you could be right.

I’ve done two online quotes so far and one was 7k and the other 25k lol

Not much of a difference then, ffs

Exactly, they don’t have a clue. I would advertise it on pistonheads and eBay for a good price and test the water.

Only worth what someone will pay, and until that buyer is found they're worth nothing.

I’ll advertise it for what I think it’s worth (realistically and compared to similar plates) and see what happens.
I’m in no rush and in the mean time I may even stick it on my saff

the online places are utter crap as stated above - i had a plate with them for ages and it never sold.

Chucked it on ebay and it sold in a week for 700 quid which was more than the new plate i bought directly off dvla so win win

Yeah I think I’ll try advertising privately rather than involving an online company, like what you did really.
I can let it sit on eBay so maybe that’s a good shout
