Default Wish I’d had a dash cam

So last night I get a phone call from my sons pal saying he’s came of his bike at a skate park 6 miles from Home and is unconscious. we jumped in my 135 and made our way briskly too him. On the way I overtook a W8 Passat who the owner now thinks it’s sport time. I was leaving him on the straights but being cautious on the twistes. I slowed down for a long sweeping bend and looked in my mirrors half way round to see him on the verge heading into a field at high speed. If only I had a cam!
My Son got kept in over night but is ok.

Oops, glad your son is ok. I hope the w8 driver is ok too, it sounds like he tried a little hard and ran out of talent.

I am amazed how many people THINK they can handle a car on or over the limit, used to see them all the time at track days, quick car and go for it on their first time and bin it as soon as the car slides.

That's a big car to be lobbing round corners. Ambition over adhesion.

That's why I love spectating at action days at castle combe. It's pure comedy watching all the heroes pile into the tyre wall at quarry corner one after the other!

The W8 guy was ok. I sent my sons pal to check that he had help and the police were already there.
When I asked the ambulance control about the eta they said unsure as there was a few incidents in the area😂 ironic he got the ambulance first!

Nahh glen its a vw it will have some scratches and a burst bumper unlike your shitbox fords that would fall to pieces

Imagine trying to hoon a w8 round bends it be like trying to turn the titanic and weigh about the same as it too

I pulled up behind a mk5 golf gti at the lights the other day. He booted it off in a cloud of smoke which was getting worse and worse as I followed him on the motorway. He pulled on to the hard shoulder as I sailed on by in my ford lol

I've had it before in a passat. Car just went straight on when I came up to the bend, must have been something on the road as normally they are fine.

Shame to see that happen to the car, w8's are nice and sound good.

I'd left a wedding (my ex and one of my friends that I no longer talk to ) to head to meet a girl. It had been raining as I came up to the corner, the car just went straight on so I just carried on going through the field and out the other side. Took out a few of those reflective plastic posts. Only damage to the car was it knocked the number plate off. I went back and picked it up and stuck it back on (was only held on with velcro)

The thing that amazes me is that I slowed down to take the corner at a sensible speed as I’m still getting used to the 135 after years of diesels. I certainly wasn’t near the limit!!

It was wet the night before the above pictures, it must have just been greasy. I'd noticed on the previous bend that it didn't feel right and I was slowing down. The car just went straight on, through the posts, over a concrete block, down into the field. I knew if I did not keep going i'd just get stuck so I carried on going and up back out the field.

i like how it looks like you tried to get out off the field immediately, couldn't then obviously kept your foot planted and went for it again with success

Gotta be in it to win it

I just knew if I stopped i'd be getting it towed out so just went for it. Then came back later when I realized the number plate fell off
