Mk5 fiesta - st170 conversion- what’s involved?
I have a mk5 fiesta Zetec S with the 1.7 Puma engine. After more power now, so was thinking of going down the ST170 route for around 200bhp. Does anyone know what’s involved in fitting and getting it running, and what other parts I need to make it work?
Thanks in advance!

Slap a blower on your Puma motor. The 1.7 was originally intended to be turbocharged before Ford dropped the idea for cost reasons, and they can handle the power. It's also a lighter motor, reviver, less lumpen and nicer feeling than the 170 unit. Indeed, it's a surprise to many that the MK6 Festa ST didn't get a spruced up version of the 1.7

This looks rather scrumptious...

of course, if you've the equipment and the gumption you can make your own manifolds etc and use whatever suitable blower that takes your fancy.
