Old school RS1600i running problem. HELP !

So it's a standard car with twin coils and it's misfiring and spluttering under acceleration, popping back through the exhaust. Replaced inlet gaskets, plugs, checked and cleaned the gearbox pick up, no obvious air leaks, vacuum pipe to ecu is working, all earths are good and now i'm at my witts end

It was running iffy before xmas and it turned out to be the inley gaskets, changed these and she was running well until recently

If you hold the revs @ 2500 rpm it's misses like the timing is out if that makes sense and it seems to be running rich

Can anyone shed any light on what to check pls

Checked the fuel pressure and CO? K-Jet can easily get out of tune, more so if it sits for long periods.

Hope you get it sorted, if not you can always buy the one being advertised for £97,000!!!!!

Mine was doing that. Tried another ecu and it’s sorted it. Had to try 4 different ones to find a working one
