Nope. Last I heard it was booked in with Ford. I've told them to ring me when it's done. It will be 2 weeks this Tuesday they have had it.

I drove the mk3 last night and it was piss slow compared to the mk4.

an extract from a consumers rights page about 2nd hand car purchases from dealers....
You have a right to reject something faulty and you are entitled to a full refund within 30 days of purchase in most cases.
After 30 days you lose the short-term right to reject the goods.
You’ll also have fewer rights, such as only being able to ask for a repair or replacement, or a partial refund.

Nope. I phoned up yesterday to see what the progress of the car was..The fitter was out at the time. He is suppose to be phoning Ford this morning (14th june) to see what Ford have done to it. I asked if they would phone me back today but I never got a phone call. I'm gonna wait till dinner time tomorrow then I will phone them if I don't hear off them.

That is really bad Glenn. They should have diagnosed and ordered parts on the Tuesday, got the bits Wednesday and had it running again on the Thursday.

Sounds like you need to get tough mate. Phone them first thing, tell them if it isn't done by the end of the day you will be up Saturday for your money back. If it is on finance or anything then speak to the finance company.

Yeah I'd be kicking off by now. They've had plenty of time to fix it. Not calling back when they say they will is my biggest complaint with dealers. They all seem terrible at it.

Going through some issues with my MK4 Mondeo too. Was supposed to be MOT'd before I collected it but wasn't, so they said I could bring it back and they would book an appointment. Low and behold, the appointment was never booked and I heard nothing from them, so now chasing them and kicking up a fuss. Like Richie says, say you want your money back, that usually gets them going

Yerp lol.

I phoned now. The lad said Ford put one of the fuel vaporizer valves in and it hasn't cured it. The lad reckons it needs a dpf cause it won't regen.

It's turning into a dear do for the garage.

This takes the happiness out of the new car experience. I’d definitely be asking what you’re getting for your inconvenience. Extra warranty, fee service ets.

I'm a pm but pissed but at the end of the day I'm not paying for the work.

So far it's had an oil and oil filter
Fuel vaporizer (about 150 quid)
And a dpf (about 170 quid)

Hopefully I will get the car back this week lol. I still think the after sales of this garage has been a bit piss poor. They should be phoning me in my opinion.

Fook knows.

I got the car back today. The bill from the Ford main dealer 2as 415 quid..that was for a fuel vaporizer and attempted regen which wouldn't happen cause the dpf was blocked. It's defo had a new dpf and it looks like it's had some dpf temp s3nsors too.
