Gutted
Ive known for a while it was coming but was still terrible to find out it has happened.
One of my best mates in the scene. Always used to head straight for each other at all the meets and we were normally still chatting outside the venue when everyone else had gone home or when he had problems I even took him him a few times.
The end of an era
Love him or hate him (Im sure lots of us did both at one point or another although for me it was almost always the former) no one can deny he was a huge part of the Ford scene and inspiring to loads of us as well as just a thoroughly interesting and genuinely nice guy (and argumentative stubborn old sod at times too. Ha ha)
RIP buddy. Will always cherish our friendship.

I too knew it was coming but gutted to hear today. I spoke to him on here and on the phone and met him once at a rolling road, he was always so nice to me, proper legend in the Cossie scene and what a pioneer...he was a big part of the tuner wars which was important part of cossie history to keep moving things on.
I hope his close friends and family are ok.
I had a few thoughts of a big cossie drive by to see him off but don't know if the family want a big outside turn up?
He made the loom on my car and I will always remember him when I lift the bonnet
RIP Rod

cossie fan (unluckerly)
I’ve fond memories of the little guy me his son Neil and my brother spent many weekends talking him into taking us out in the Sierra great times at shows in the summer. When I see him just before Christmas he was in good spirits chatting away and showing me his collection of dinky toys. Terrible thing the big C RIP Rod

I also met him at car shows and he was a really nice bloke. I remember taking the piss out of him at the RS central day show a few years back cause he was a short ads.
I hope his car lives on.

I too hope someone will pick up the batton and keep the car original and do some high speed runs. I have thought about buying it but it just isn't my thing although I love the heritage.

R.I.P Rod, never got to meet him but spoke to him many times on here, I know sometimes he could of been a little difficult perhaps but always had massive respect for him, he (with Mark) has been pretty much been the man responsible for the evolution of YB tuning, legend of a man.
