Default Head lights Ford ranger 2015

Afternoon gents,
I noticed my headlight was out drivers side so I replaced the bulb but still no light so I put the multimeter on headlight plug and I'm only getting 7.5 volts. I take it the lights are controlled via a module, which will include the daytime lights and the auto switching via the column stalk.
Anybody on here had any problems with there ranger , also an idea to where the module would be.
Thanks mark

Hi yeah earth is good checked that,it's 7.5v with bulb out. When I loop a cable from other headlight lights will come on for a split second then turn off and the only way to get lights to stay on is turn turn jeep off then turn lights on then restart jeep which is a nightmare in the dark

The headlights are controlled by the body control module, if a bulb blows the module goes into a safety mode, meaning even if you change the bulb it probably won't work. You could try a module reset, disconnect it for 30 minutes or so and try it. There's also a broadcast message out at the moment saying that some aftermarket bulbs can cause short circuits in the module

It should just reset by turning the ignition off and on once you have fixed the problem.
