Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Had one of the first diesel ones in 2006 , ran it for 3 years no problems , they are built on E Class platform , excellent value for money imo

Interior is American though, hard plastics and everything looks wipe clean, bit of a let down as the outside looks so regal.
I bet the HEMI version is nice to drive

I really want the SRT8 300C.
6.1 425bhp 420ibs.
after the troubke
i had with my jeep I'd steer well clear of the crd merc shite. Bloke near me has one and asked how his 300c was and said he had nothing but issues.

This is the one near me. Twin turbo's might be fun.

There is an off the shelf super charger kit. Think it's 570bhp at the end.
weak points on the hemi though are the piston rings, there to close to run much boost and kill the engine when they come out of the pistons.

I didn't realise they came with such big engines !
just googled it, the estate is one ugly looking car and the basic diesel estate is 2 tons and over 5 metres long !!

Think the engines available are the 3.0 crd
3.5 v6
5.7 hemi
6.1 hemi SRT8.
As far as I'm aware any way. Done a bit of reading up as I'm tempted. Bang for buck with the SRT8 I don't think there's anything else out there with that power for the price.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Hired one for a day in Boston a year or two back. Comfortable enough and plenty of room inside.
dunno what trim spec or engine it was though.
apparently it's a Merc E Class under the skin

Would have thought id learnt an expensive and horribke
lesson for buying a Chrysler product again after the bat mobile. Traded it in for another Chrysler product
Grand Voyager for now as a family bus.
Edit my comment on the interior of the one Linked. It's a different one that's got the minging wood interior.

10K+ Poster!!
I had an 03 merc Amg e class of that era and the electrics were shocking, the costs were huge, if I drove past a merc dealer I was billed £1000, if I stopped it was £3k.
