Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Mine was my 4dr mk1 escort, had a pinto in it, was a great fun little car. Sold it over 5 years ago to buy my 3dr Cossie which I don't regret. Missed it loads though
so much so that I tracked down the fella I sold it to, was pestering him for a while and eventually he gave in, went down to Cornwall about 6 weeks ago and picked her up.
Paid nearly twice as much as I sold her for to have her back, and now it's fucked
i suppose that's what 5 years of being daily driven does, but it's getting a resto which starts in a few weeks
so much so that I tracked down the fella I sold it to, was pestering him for a while and eventually he gave in, went down to Cornwall about 6 weeks ago and picked her up.

It has mate, it's been used daily for the last 5 years, bloke did about 40k in it, the salt air hasn't been kind to the metal work!

Problem is is both my mates are going YB with their escorts and I've got a YB and t5 sat about doing nothing, plus I've never seen a YB 4dr mk1....

Good news for me.
After some bartering I have swapped my mk4 van for my old cabby,a pile of spares and this ropey 1.4 ghia Orion which I'm probably going to break so I can get all the bits I need for the cab.
It's pretty unloved now,doesn't run,has a s1 engine with efi manifold,s2 turbo box,shagged half leather interior,needs paint here and there,windscreen has went white and the rear window seals are corroded.
It will be a slow resto and I'll do it as and when time and money are available but I have it back at least.

Sold it yo a guy who didn't look after it,bought it back and tidied it then sold it for a quick buck,it then passed through a lot if folk then ended up with a pal,I bought it with great intentions but I sold all my projects to buy another mk2 frs which I hated.
The car is sitting outside under a flappy tarpaulin and the guy won't sell but I bought a mk4 escort van the other day which he wants so I may be able to get a deal out if him yet!

The kit is worth a few quid,I'll sell the s2 wheels,I'll use the recaros and I need a lot of bits off it so I'd prob get 500 if I'm lucky for it but for the bits I'd need buying them bit by bit off eBay I'd be a lot more so it's not worth me selling it complete,if somebody wants the carcass then great,I'll advertise it but doubtful anybody will,maybe if it was a 1.6i it would be of I retest but it's only a 1.4 ghia which somebody's fitted a 90 spec turbo interior into so it's missing it's ghia interior too.
Not got a lot going for it.
