Because 1-PD doesn't like to be shown up as a piracy-advocating hypocrite, Jay, that's why. So what he does is he deletes threads and comments that make him look bad, hence why the first thread about this has gone, and we have this one.

And then I guarantee that there'll be a thread with people slagging it off after the first episode, just like they did when it was on the BBC lol, before everyone went all misty eyed and started proclaiming it as the best thing ever when clarkson got sacked lol.

I for one could not have built my car without the people on this forum and without the Moderators we would be doomed.

The absolute easiest is a Firestick and Amazon Prime account. Plug it into the TV, enter your Amazon Prime account details and that's it - you will have access to The Grand Tour as it airs

Can you watch it on a laptop or similar if you have a Prime account?

To be honest, I might just let a mate do it and go to his house lol.

Yep you can watch it on a laptop.
You can just get the 30 days free Prime thing if you only want it for The Grand Tour (that's what I'm doing)

watched it this morning when I got in and you can see they was trying hard not to slip back into bbc format, you can defo see amazon were not shy with the production budget as at times looked like a ken block video, but would give it a 8/10

Looking forward to seeing it later, I wonder if those watching steams from other than Amazon get the same quality of picture, I have to say a lot of my enjoyment of TG, Chris Harris on cars etc comes from the beautiful cinematography and camerawork.

I watched walking dead last night on Amazon fire stick and although my processor said it was 1080p I thought the quality was pap and quite jerky at times even on a 40meg connection....will be interesting to see what Grand Tour is like. I am also going to see if you can put an Amazon app on to the Apple TV as I think that is better quality.

its not that complicated, its simply like a mini set top box thats allows you to stream videos on demand, has a video tutorial as soon as you set it up so you wont go wrong, all you need is a hdmi socket on your tv

It is magic I tell ya, all Hocus pocus.

One stick, one amazon prime subscription and then click on anything you want to watch.

its a monthly subscription or a yearly one of 79 like netflix so can cancel at any time, this is just one of many shows/films etc you can watch thats included at no extra cost, this show will be running for 12 weeks unlike the 6 we were getting on the bbc

Fuzzy, without wanting to derail the thread to a different topic, in a nutshell a Fire Stick is a little dongle you plug into your TV's HDMI port (and USB for power - adapter plug supplied) and connect to your wifi to access streaming content via the internet. It doesn't store anything, and the only thing it comes loaded with is the operating system/interface - no content is saved on it.

There is some free content on it (I believe, someone correct me if I'm wrong) but the whole idea is you have an Amazon Prime account, which costs Ł79 a year (Ł6.58 per month) and includes next day shipping (free I think?) on pretty much anything and everything you order from Amazon online. If you only want Prime Instant Video, it's Ł5.99 a month (saving Ł7.xx a year)

It's basically Amazons version of Netflix and Apple TV.

Hope this helps

It's quite easy to find on the known torrent sites..
I'm now downloading it, will see if it's as good as it's hyped to be.

Can't be any worse than the new TopGear on the BBC (we got that in Holland too..)

A few of us watched it at a mate's house over the weekend. It was ok, pretty much as expected to be honest.

Still beautifully shot and the odd amusing moment. Will be interesting to see how it develops.

Was surprised by the outcome of the hot laps of the trio, not the result I expected.

Hot laps were on a control tyre, the cars are each designed around individual rubber, on their 'best' tyres the Macca is fastest, Evo did this a while back as I think Harris did before Top Gear

You would have thought that as they tour the globe, each episode would have something to do with where they were? Otherwise what's the point of it being "The Grand Tour" ?

Reporting on car events mostly in Portugal and UK from the USA seems a bit, well, pointless? Or was I missing the link?

Enjoyable enough as a show, even if i think Clarkson is an over-opinionated-attention-seeking twat.

Just watched part 1 of Namibia special, was good to watch and loved the beach buggies, especially Hammonds one. I did not like all the swearing though as my 8 yr old was enjoying it with me but had to turn it off whilst she was in the room.

Just shows that one mans meat is another mans poison....I know you need to be in the mood and suspend reality a bit....much preferred top gear in the 90s
