I often used to message Ahmed with ideas of silly engine conversions and eBay links to crazy engines and cars. As I don't have much ability myself to do this sort of work I would always run the idea past Ahmed and he would usually take the piss and say it's a stupid idea lol. I've got a idea in my head now and I wish I could tell him about it.

I don't want to really put this up here , but does anyone have any info in terms of his software etc for mapping , is it going to be passed on to grove garage etc as my pectel ecu was locked by Ahmed and I was going to get my him to remap it again so I now need the pass key.
If anyone can shed any light on this this would be very helpful as iam probably not the only customer who has found this very shocking that he's passed on so soon
Rip legend
Cheers paul

Ahm spent a huge amount of time teaching me things over the last twenty years, more than he'd probably tell anyone else, and I'll never forget that and it'll be with me forever. Pretty much everything I know about cars and engineering is due to him.
There are endless stories which I hope to write down soon as I'd hate to forget any of them. Like me falling asleep and snoring in Harvey's dyno cell whilst Ahm was mapping Hadlands gumball engine! In 2004 I received an education (AB style) on my driving ability. He was in his 2 litre Mondeo Ghia auto. I was in a Clio sport 182. It took all of my ability to stay remotely near him round the lanes. I quickly knocked down my self rating from about 8/10 to 2/10 and have since been taught and practiced and think I'm probably a genuine 6 or 7 now.
Ahm had a unique approach to many things. Some couldn't handle it, some accepted it, and some really benefited from it. I consider myself lucky. I'll miss all the old stories, the beastings, the educations, the laughs, the trips in the car to and from dyno.
I could write so much more, maybe in the future. You only have to look at the post on the Grove Garage Facebook page about this great loss; 300+ comments and 135k+ views. This is how recognised and important he was to so many people.
RIP my friend.

Talk to Mark at Grove, he has the answers you seek (it's not my place to make statements).

Cheers like I said above I will leave it a while , Ahmed and Harvey together we're like the 2 ronnies just taking the piss all day out of each other , me and ian , it was like a lads night out but in a dyno cell. If I asked any questions Ahmed was straight there telling me in great detail which I thought was brilliant as some tuners don't take the time to explain .
I can remember asking what car he got seriously expecting him to say rs500 touring car or rs200 or something along the lines of that and he says I've just bought a mondeo , Bluetooth , alcantra seats quality , iam like what , he turns around and said well I drive fast cars all day i can't be bothered with all that nonsense lol
Just a great guy
Cheers paul
