Car cut out now won't start, suspected fuel pump?
Was driving my MK3 Fiesta Si today, all of a sudden the car cut out and wouldn't start. I can no longer hear the fuel pump priming. Checked fuses and inertia switch all found to be okay. Also noticed since this happened, I now have an earthing issue. Battery light stays illuminted but very dim even when ign is off/keys are out. Could these be related? Faulty ignition switch maybe?

Does the car turn over ok?

As above, as the the WL, it sounds like bad rectification.

The car turns over fine but no spark or fuel. I've sorted the earthing issue by looks of things however, still no spark or pump. I've also swapped the ecu to no avail. I can hear the pats unit clicking when the ignition comes on, and the immobiliser light doesn't flash like it would if it was wrong key etc so I'm a bit stumped. I've had the fuel pump working by clicking the relay in manually and the pump does run. Before, the efi relay (small red one no.3 in fuse box) was sticking and then leaving the ignition lights on when keys were out however now it doesn't seem to be doing that but still I'm getting neither pump nor spark from key. Any ideas?

Check the supply to the ECU. Now you have found it, I remember that relay is a common fault.
