100,000 mile Escort GTI sells for over £2,300
Good to see values going up on the remaining good GTI's

I don't know this car but the seller does say it's had welding etc. so arguably not as valuable as a genuine low-mileage, no rust, never welded car (if any exist).
I was offered a red 3-door, all original save for bad repaint on o/s door and wing plus needed head gasket for about £700. Literally as new inside and underneath with genuine 60k on the clock. That was last year and kinda wishing I'd had it now.

white 3 drs are the most sought after of gti models, and ones with a/c & sunroof are even better, has had the rot cut out which is the only way to deal with these cars so not surprised it fetched over 2k as I must have broke well over 100 gtis and am about 30 st170s in now, but I would still never buy a car from the seaside

PassionFord Post Whore!!
There is a lady who drives a real manky looking old Honda Civic in my area which has a number plate which has I think N to start but the rest is 500BHP!! I have often wondered if she realises how much the number plate could be worth! The car is probably only worth £250 - £300.

less sporty I can understand that. don't know about under the body kit but the the rails are very solid and arches. there is surface rust on the spare wheel well though. missed a chip on the front screen which will need replacing. I think it will make a nice daily driver hopefully!

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
I too am loving that RS2000. Never had one and always quite fancied a shot, a nice early clean standard car would suit me. Probably a good time (but not for me) to get one before the prices rise as they get viewed as a classic as opposed to just an old car..

I'm really impressed how well it goes and drives, suppose it should be good with just 42k miles

That white mk5 RS2k is gorgeous - always wanted one of them!
Had a 2dr white GTi years ago and sold it to my flatmate who ran it into the ground, was then sold to a banger racer. Also had a red 3dr, and a black 3dr. Never rated them at all actually, comfy enough to run about in and looked nice but so lethargic and for some reason, they all had terrible idling problems? ISCV was a nightmare to get to as well so never bothered doing anything about it lol.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Had a MK5b rs2000 in white a while ago bought for £650. Cut it up for the engine. What a mistake that was looking back. Still have the passenger seat in the loft

The white mk5 looks like a timewarp photo, very nice.
I looked into getting a mk6 after seeing a red one on cossie rims in aylesbury years ago (think the same cars on here) but none was around at the time unfortunately.

> mk5b with the bright rainbow interior has to be the rarest of all the 4x4 models,
So how many left? Presumably single figures from how many sold?
