From what I've read you can go up a size on the efr and have your cake and eat it boost threshold and holding power at higher rpm.
Also, and I'm sure Mark will chime in, for some reason the 91 size efr spool earlier than the 83 size.
I don't suppose that's anything new though, a lot of people found the gt35 to spool quicker than gt30. Certainly if you speak to Owen Developments.

I believe that the turbo up from mine might Come in up to 500rpm higher but could be wrong. If I do go long stroke then the turbo would probably top out at 500bhp instead of 530 due to the larger displacement but the bigger turbo would go 580 / 600 Iirc. The torque would be bonkers throughout.

You have to draw the line some where before it gets out of hand, whatever turbo you buy today will be out of date tomorrow the same applies for management, autronic first then vipec then emtron, unfortunatly most of us dont have bottomless pits. I went down the twin scroll route with mine but with a s200 borg warner as it was the best turbo ever at the time but now things have moved on already and they are slated! In my opinion it isnt much better than the gt30 i had previously after all the hype.It would be much cheaper to go down the route of standard ish engine with a tidy t34 if your aiming for 400/400.

All still good ecus today. Who ever is slating a S200 needs there head read. The Efr is still king of the hill 5 years+ after it first came out. Garrett are still rehashing there turbos after nearly 15years it's about time they did a real update on them.

It may be a good idea as the tuners may be more up to date doing them

Mark, have you heard of EFR turbos being run on modified 4x4 manifolds?

Nobody has suggested anything at all better than the current range of Borg warners, if anyone has anything better to suggest please pipe up now? Cheaper, yes and that can be good but anything better?

Not seen any but as 50% of the gain is the manifold I find it false economy not to use the twin scroll manifold.

Ok mate just heard a few people say it but can't pretend to know either way!

I feel like the whole process for me will be all or nothing, I either run my engine as is with Stage 3 + a t34 or go all out with some more up to date tuning.

You wouldn't think I was paid to make big decisions
