I totally agree it's bonkers these prices but if you've got the choice to sell for £100 or £500 I think I'd be selling for £500

I hear what you are saying, it's down to the seller if he wants to go all out for the crazy price or if he feels more comfortable selling the parts on at a sensible, realistic price knowing they will be going on to a fellow Ford enthusiast who will be very happy to get them. Personally, any parts I have sold over the years have never been overpriced as I don't believe in ripping people off.

So it sounds like ford is going the way of audi. Pretty much 99% of bits for the ur quattro, s2 etc is now NLA. But at least you still see ford stuff on ebay, the audi stuff is long gone and if it does come up prices are eye watering.

Your doing the right thing, anyone selling Cossie bits cheap nowadays is a fool to themselves !
They are rarer than they were 10 years ago and command a premium that's the way it goes

All the time people with more money than sense keep paying the crazy prices they will just keep going up and up!! Pure greed and a lack of any conscience is the driver of prices of so many parts high-lighted in this on-going thread.

Yeah I saw the stuff you was selling, a couple of bits I was interested in but out of my budget currently as I have other projects requiring bits.

You just have to follow market conditions for parts these days. I normally sell parts I don't need and use the money to buy parts I do need so you have to keep up with prices at the minute

I think there’s a big difference between selling an old clip for say £50 and then selling something like a brand new old stock front bumper or sunroof for a grand each! (Ooh I wonder why I said that)

What pisses me off is when they want top dollar but can’t even be bothered to give it a clean.

I think biggest issue with most listings I find is people are not interested in shipping anything, I don't have time to be driving all over the country so have had to keep waiting around for auctions to come up with shipping. I tried asking friends and family to help me out and collect stuff (i'd cover fuel etc) but unfortunately the people I thought would help me since I helped them out over the years are not interested.

Unless the items are really big and heavy the sellers should have no problem in posting them to you.I have sold lots of car parts and to me getting them to your buyer is a normal part of the process. As you say it is'nt possible for most people to be driving for miles to pick them up from the sellers premises. Lazy, inconsiderate sellers imo.

Watching that washer bottle closely,I picked up 2 and a 2wd header tank from a closing down sale at a ford garage near me.
thing is with replicas there is replicas then there is shite like sierra with spoiler screwed on and cosworth badge on bootlid.. a real replica is all cosworth bar engine and box and id.

Just tried sending you a message mate but it says your inbox is full.

And Yeah still having issues with people not posting which makes parts hunting a pita. Though I did buy a ur quattro bumper this week that was mis-listed. Turned up later in the week with zero packaging, just labels slapped on the bumper/spoiler cover
