Good!!! Why doesn't the seller drop the price to a sensible figure instead of being so greedy!

There not as hard to do as the towing eye covers. Got them finished, just sand and fill then on they go.

I wonder what the most wanted N/A part is for the sapphire? One I’ve never seen come up is the rubber gutter seal that runs the full length up the C pillars along the top & down the A pillar.

Wow. That's just being greedy. I think it will get to the point where the everyday people like us won't be able to buy the parts and our cars will just turn into life size models and never get used.

Lol i wish. You should read some of the comments i get about the parts. Got told that the rubber bushes were no good, a poor finish and not the same as the original part as the sholder part was tapered and not square edged.
I pointed out that the tapered part couldn't be seen when fitted as it under a metal clamp

I might try and make those seal strips

Plus there's brand new pair on face book for £100, which is reasonable considering they are very hard to find!

You and me both Glenn it is amazing what people will pay and have probably over payed for bits myself over the years, but I suppose if you need them then you need them.
I’m still saving my brand new sapph front bumper & new Sunroof for my retirement fund

There must be some very wealthy people out there who are paying such crazy prices!!! I wonder how much a Saff would cost at todays prices if you could source all the original bits!!!!

I used to get up to 30% of parts back in the day when you could still get them from fords using my dads Dagnam employees card, now I wish I had filled a couple of containers with bits as I would be sitting on a beach somewhere now.

When I first bought my 2wd Saff 25 years ago you could go into a ford dealer's spare parts department and get ANY part you needed for not much money. With hindsight I should have done the same as those new old stock parts are now making big money!!!!! Hendy Ford in Southampton even had a seperate competition department where you could buy all sorts of tasty parts for modifying your YB!!

Hendy still have a department for performance parts but it caters for the later fast Fords these days, at the end of the day like I’ve always said there are people on the net where money is no object to them and that’s the people these sellers are reaching out for. I’ve made a few quid out of sourcing bits that nobody else can get as that’s where the money is. Trying to sell generic bits that everyone can get hold of is just not an earner as there is always someone who will sell it for cheaper than you.

its like matey who wraps the cars on that program on Dave channel, you know the one, he charges around 5 grand for a wrap, I wouldn’t contemplate paying 5k for a wrap but 5k to his clients is pocket money.

I would imagine those cards are out of a Sapphire ghia or the like hence the wood trim, either that or it’s been retro fitted

Having to pay over the odds for parts will be the thing that finally makes me sell up.
I was in Ford last week getting parts and priced a fuel sender it was £58 but NLA eBay has one for £499
If I can’t repair mine I’ll make one from another car fit.

A while back I had to go to a very large Ford spare parts warehouse to pick up a couple of things to send to a guy in the US which I had ordered for him. When I was there I asked what parts they had for my Saff. He laughed and said have a look on my computer screen. There was not even ONE part listed, it said NLA and to try the owners clubs and forums!! Shortage of spare parts is going to get worse and it will make maintaining our cars very difficult in the future.

Like the description says. Some Rouse staffs had them on. One good thing about the wood cappings they hide the sagging door cards at the top.
