Dragging a slightly old thread up guys, I want a camera for the wifes ST as she is often in the car alone, going off what I have seen on TV this makes her a prime candidate for crash for cash scamming scum.

Is this the 0805 camera people have mentioned?

If not has anybody got a link?

Have a look at Tech Moan on YouTube. He has tested loads and shows the recorded footage quality, night time etc.

There's loads made in China with no brand name. I'd say they are well worth the money if ever needed.

I'm thinking of getting that type with the second camera for the rear.
Much smaller than the G1W I have currently.

bought a Ł20 one off ebay, plus another Ł8 for a 32gb sd car and it will record for 2 hours + which is enough for most journeys

have to wipe the card manually though as no auto erase but that's not an issue

this one

it's Ł16 now so might as well get another for the rear

Cheap as chips Dojj, should it not auto record over old footage though?

Ideally I want a smaller unit that doesn't need tinkering with.

I bought a decent spec HP one from currys unfortunately it was faulty so returned it, couldn't get me another one for at least 10 days so they refunded me.

I then said fuck it and bought an Amacam at a mere Ł35 posted normally Ł40 and I'm chuffed to bits with it, easier to work than the HP and does what I need it to do loop records etc so just plug it in when I get in and away I go.

Cheap and chearfull and works perfect.

I've got a mobius action cam. Best bit of footage I have on it is a mate reversing as fast as possible and taking his wing mirror off though.

Iv just bought and received the 0805 after reading through this thread, I'm going to try some 3M dual lock Velcro, as I would want to use it in a few cars if possible, I may try and jig up some suction mount as even the dual lock requires a piece stuck into every car I'd like to mount the camera too.

only prob with velcro is it wont be as stable and could suffer with vibration causing picture clarity issues, I would personally just buy a additional mount

It's quite sturdy stuff, not like traditional Velcro if your not already aware, I have been looking at mounts though but because of the shape of the camera the mount needs to be low profile and that's the issue.

I had a 402g and it kept failing to record, took it back to halfords twice and in the end I just got my money back, great picture and looked good but I couldn't rely on it, I also had a 0801 that didn't perform and I got my money back on that too, hopefully the 0805 will be better.

I had no issues with the 0805 just simply upgraded from that to later model
