Default Recaro seats?

I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times but I'm pulling my hair out here...I've got myself a set of MK5 RS2000 seats that I will be putting in my MK5 Fiesta after I pick them up tomorrow. Now, I have seen several people saying that Escort seats need Fiesta Mk3.5 runners and then seen other people who have fitted MK5/6 escort seats with no need to swap anything over. So can anyone clarify if they will be straight fit or if I'll need runners? If so, are 3.5 runners necessary or will my standard Fiesta MK5 runners fit the Recaro's? I know the RS Turbo Recaro's need the 3.5 runners but as I said, some people have said they have fitted MK5/6 Escort seats without needing to swap anything over. Typically, there are no 3.5 runners on eBay either hence why I ask...cheers

I've got them seats in my mk4 fiesta. You will need the top hats from an escort mk5 with standard seats. They only go under the back middle corner bolt of each seat. The other 4 holes line up fine.

I fitted a set of bucket seats in my ford Pooma i used strips of steel and cut the seat mounts off a set of standard seats and bolted the bucket seats to the metal strips and bolted the strips to the seat brackets.

How did you manage to get the other four holes lined up? They are completely different to mine, they face inward not out and they dont line up whatsoever :S

Got a picture of the normal MK5 seat runners and the Recaro runners (left) as you can see the bolting points and mounts are completley different and the Recaro runners are shorter? Which runners do I need Mk3.5 ones?? There's none on eBay....

I'll have a little look tomorrow. Mine lined straight up....my legs/tabs are on the outside not tucked under like the pic you've got.

Hy Everyone,

I'm a new member, I'm glad to be with you in this community.
So, I have a question about escort mk4 rs turbo S2 recaro seats. A would like to buy it to my lovely mk4 estate, but I'm not sure to put in my car. The seat runner holes are the same by the recaro and the normal hatchback seats? Can I put these simplier to the old seats' place?

Thank you your answer.

Thank you.
I have one more question. If I will buy spec 90 recaros or sierra cossie recaros and the runner doesn't fit to mk4 escort, can I fix the normal mk4 seat runners to the recaros without relevant conversion or not?

Sorry i dont follow. 88spec and 90spec Escort Recaro's use the same runners so either will fit the mk4 floorpan with no "conversion" required.
Sierra bolt pattern I'm not familiar with so can't comment

So, I would like to buy recaro seats to my escort estate mk4. I found rs spec 90 recaros and sierra cosworth recaros as well, but these seats have no genuine seat runners ( the sierra cossies have vw runners, and the spec 90 recaros have capri runners), I'm afraid to the buying because maybe I need to buy a new runners, which is fit to my car, and these would be very expensive.
Therefore the point is of my question: Can I fix to any recaros my normal mk4 estate seat runners, (the length of runners, or distance of the rails are the same on the normal and the recaro seat runners?) or it's resoluble?
I' have tought the conversion of the runners not the floorplate of the car.
The sierra cossie recaros are very nice, but expensive as well, my risk is big If I wont use these due to the inappropiate runners.
