has anyone got a mk7 fiesta 1.25
 

just wondering if anyone has one as im looking to get one for the missus and I want to know what the real mpg on the 1.25 engine is, shes all about mpg and ford mpg figures are never what they say they are.

we've a 59 plate fiesta 1.25 and only returns about 33mpg just for school runs work ect totally gutless car when ive got to use it!

My mam used to have one. That was ok on petrol. It was nippy too.

I'm running around in the Mrs one right now and it's doing about 190 miles to 30 quid so about 35 mpg

I had an 11 plate model last year as a courtesy car.
Ford have strangled the hell out of the engine to make it fit into the £30/year tax bracket. It had no go at all. 70mph on the motorway and I was constantly up and down the box trying to maintain speed.
On a 170 mile round trip I managed 32mpg. I'd get a 1.6 personally.
