.
Need some help, I need to get a pair of adjustable top mounts for my RWD YB converted Mk4 Escort, I have a pair of MK Motorsport ones but due to the tighter gap between strut top and the inner side of the bonnet I can't use them.
I've been looking at the PCD142 mm comp-brake items http://www.compbrake.com/suspension/...nts/-3398.html now the problem I have is they list top hat UP and top hat DOWN. Can someone tell me what the difference is and if anyone has used them can you tell me which ones you have used.
Cheers
Ginger.

the top hat is the lamp shade type thing that sits on top of the spring then tapers to fit the rose joint bearing. i dont know what top hat up or down means though. sorry if you already knew what the top hat was though just thought id say incase you didnt.
i dont know if these would work for you ??

they are a lot cheaper. i bought a similar one for my brothers civic type r and modified them to fit. they are good quality and a fraction of the price of other makes. from memory the bolt holes are spaced 100mm apart centre. may or may not be of use to u though
