Default Head gasckets

If my series 1 runs poor on idle and dies, however runs perfect under driving conditions sould this be a head gascket.

Whats the thoughts of the experts.

no m8 its more likely to do with air leak or idel speed control valve or fueling problem head gasket is more over heating or white smoke misfireing and lose of comprsion oil and water mixing . i would say more air leak or fueling

for got to say if you have a dump valve it can also do that so i would blank off the dumpvalve untill you trace the problem you might find it was that
